As number of available LLLL.net made from English premium letter only (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M,
N, O, P, R, S, T) constantly decreasing I think it's right time to start this countdown.
Right now there's around 8100 available names.
At the end of August number was 10600.
At current registration pace it's safe to assume that all of them will be gone by New Year/January
2016, as speed usually increase when under 5000 names left.
Few fact to keep in mind:
1. Lowest market price for worst quality LLLL.com currently is $120-130, which is higher than it was in
2008 when premium LLLL.net buyout first happened.
2. Bottom floor price for English premium LLLL.com is $350-450, that puts targer price for English
premium LLLL.net at $17-22 taken 5% of LLLL.com price.
3. All Chinese pattern LLLL.net were bought out in July and just in two month their price skyrocketed
4-6 times all the way up to $35-40 a piece.
4. All Chinese LLLL.cc were recently bought out as well.
5. All CVCV LLLL.net and premium VCVC.net were bought out and currently being picked up from drop.
You can check list of remaining English Premium LLLL.net here:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/ow0hqo
Cheapest registration is at BigRock.com and Reseller Club $5 for .net
Alernative is Dynadot $6 and $GoDaddy $7.

Support is slow and they dont know what is happening. I regged my lot from BigRock. Better there.

On another forum I read about the same problem, and that if you reg single domains at whois.com, there is not such problem. Just tried to reg one domain, it is already in my account. Interesting, I regged over 70 LLLL.net in 2 bulk orders yesterday, in the morning and during the day, there was no delay at all. Probably too much registrations of LLLL.net since yesterday evening?

Register as 15 in batch rather then bulk order and wait for hours that's how i have raged around 100 names.

Registered another 8, one by one, worked fine.

By the way, based on the article by Martin http://www.buildacode.com/2015/10/llllnet-domain-trends-2-letter-prefixes.html, "HE" may stay for Chinese province Hebei. Would you think that LLLL.net with HE will have value close to normal Chinese premium? Are they worth registering with HE at the beginning or at the end?

Started checking all 131000 free names from 3 days ago and noticed new trends coming from the East
Here's what got regged in last 2 days: 486 names
http://pastebin.com/89Ghbqtf

1. 3 consonants + A any position, remember A + 3 consonants was regged last week.
2. E + 3 consonants. And knowing what happened to letter A it's safe to say that all 3 consonants + E will be gone soon too.

Data was taken from first 20000 available names out of 131000.
Will update with full list of what was registered in last 3 days after finish.
Have a feeling it's not 131K, but 125-128K left now.

Looks like we are moving to the direction of total LLLL.net buyout, however I doubt it will happen this year.

By the way, what is current western premium available number? Can you please post all LLLL.net with 3 consonants and E in any position (3 western premium consonants and A in any position are all gone). Are any nonpremium 3 consonants + A in any position still available?

Could you plase also make a list with AI in any position with 2 consonants and HE in any position with 2 consonants?

Only 70 days left, not enough time for 130K, but next year if this pace will continue we can most possibly see all good names gone: CVCV, VCVC, English premiums and pronounceable, plus the ones Chinese find useful. It's very possible to see only 20-50K names left that noone wants.

Western number was 5020 when I posted earlier today.
Just check the pastebin linky, look for letter E, it's all sorted in order, only 546 names there.

3 consonants + A - harder to detect, my software don't allow it. I have a way around, just need to finish the first scan first.

Will do AI and HE too later.

In one of the threads on NP it was said that "ai" means love

Thanks a lot for your helping advices! Could you please also advise on the following - I have read on some thread that "ai" means love in Chinese, is it correct? Will it mean domains with "ai" will be more valuable?

There was also discussion on personal names, will domains with for example Li be more valuable? If yes, does it matter if the name is in the beginning, in the middle or at the end?

And one more question :) Are domains with cities/provinces (i.e. SH) less valuable if it is at the end? I read that preferred are at the beginning. And is HK prefix also popular or is not considered of interest in China?

Ai and Li might be easier if you sell it to the end users, but it seems not special to the domainers in the domain name market.

Yes, the cities would be less valuable if it's at the end. HK is not popular in China market.

Good Luck!

Consonant is letters that not vowel, so every letter besides A-E-I-O-U and V is consonant, but we don't need it.

I scanned a list of 3 consonants and A in end. There are plenty of available domains right now.
But i can see the list is shrinking day by day. Some names available to hand reg.

Yes, the cities would be less valuable if it's at the end. HK is not popular in China market.

How about double letters like DD, MM, GG, etc? Is it good if it's at the end or in the beginning?

Western number was 5020 when I posted earlier today.
Just check the pastebin linky, look for letter E, it's all sorted in order, only 546 names there.

3 consonants + A - harder to detect, my software don't allow it. I have a way around, just need to finish the first scan first.
You can do this with excel formulas.

=4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"A",""))
if the domain to be checked is in cell A3, the above formula will return the number of instances of the character "A" in the first 4 characters of the domain name.

To detect number of consonants, you would need this formula:
=sum(4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"B","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"C","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"D","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"F","")),
4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"G","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"H","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"J","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"K","")),
4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"L","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"M","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"N","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"P","")),
4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"Q","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"R","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"S","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"T","")),
4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"V","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"W","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"X","")),4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"Y","")),
4-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(LEFT(UPPER(A3),4),"Z","")))

I'm going to write an updated article about the situation with NNNN.net soon. I am scanning all the LLLL.net domains for availability now...it will finish tomorrow.

Thanks for the hint.
I will need to dig into that Excel formulas.

The way I do it, just mark domains with letter A in Notepad and then mark and delete the bad letters.
But your way will work on positions that's something I had problems with before, need to learn those Regular Expressions, but never had time.

After those 3000+ were registered we have 128 012 left free.
When I checked for the first time in August it was 149 500.

What kind of domains are you interested in. I'll try to do some analysis of domains people are interested in when I write my article.

Note to self: Vlad said he is interested in the following:
By the way, what is current western premium available number? Can you please post all LLLL.net with 3 consonants and E in any position (3 western premium consonants and A in any position are all gone). Are any nonpremium 3 consonants + A in any position still available?

Could you plase also make a list with AI in any position with 2 consonants and HE in any position with 2 consonants?

With 130k available domains, automation of some sort is the only way to do it. Just one warning: Excel recalculation gets slow if you have many rows in your sheet, so turn off automatic recalculation if you are doing this for more than 1000 domains or so.

Arab Emirates comes to my mind first.
Look, even the VC lover took them :)
