advice Preliminary Warning

Since domainers list on multiple marketplaces, marketplaces need to provide preliminary notice when there is legitimate intend to buy a domain from a party so that domainer removes the domain from other marketplaces to prevent double sale and consiquent legal problems. Sedo, afternic, atom, 4.cn etc need to account for this.

in reality,
domainers take the risk, when they list the same names on different platforms with fixed pricing.
fixed price on one and "make offer" on others would alleviate the potential risk.

as is, there have been many cases where someone has paid for a domain on a marketplace, that was no longer available for sale.
same situation with GD, where someone registers a name, adds it to their cart and pays for it, only to find out later that it was already registered but registrar didn't update.

in the end, nobody gets/got sued or is prosecuted.

That is a critical issue. I don't know how it could be fixed technically.
Like there is a big database with the names registred, so if I go to GoDaddy and searching a specific name it say me 'it's taken', the same for any other registrar on the Earth... the same should be happens when someone buys a domain in the aftermarket.
If someone buys a DN in an aftermarket, automatically all the other aftermarket should indicate 'it's sold'.

But I don't know if that is possible.
