Precious metals logo $150 winner

Professional precious metal business seeking logo. Winner of design will receive $150 USD through PayPal.

Design must be original and by scratch. Please no plagiarizing!
Designer must also be able to deliver the design in all formats.

The design is for a business called "Gold Exchange" or "GoldExchange.com". Please feel free to play with either.

With this designing project you're free to be creative.
Note: Design should include some type of icon.

Please PM me the design if possible but it's still OK to post in main thread.

This business deals in precious metals, numismatics (rare coins and paper money), and some antiquities.

Had idea of roundabout "exchange" arrows in gold color and paper money, rare coins, eagles, etc etc etc. Do research on Google for similar sites and ideas so that you can have a generalized idea. Thank you.

This logo will go a long way. This logo need to be extremely good. This logo will be used for a retail business as well as a website. I've attached a few examples of logos that are alright. In the neighborhood of what I am looking for. Imagine that this is the ultimate project you'll have to work on to impress millions. A logo says a lot. If you can do a killer job with a logo without an icon lets see it. I am open to see different avenues of approach.

Gtraffic - I don't like the bubble-like font. Remember, this will be for a professional business for investors and normal people alike so I am not trying to go for the kid/playtime/candy look. Remember, the designs I shared are just to give you an idea. I don't want the exact thing they have. I want something unique to my brand and image.

coolwanz - You could also possibly be somewhat on the right track. I feel you're somewhat close but it's still missing a lot. Have you seen other corporations with an eagle-like design or something. You may want to run with that. I've attached ideas.

Play with many things: eagle, statue of liberty, eye, paramid, angel, angel holding torch; pretty much anything that would be on U.S. currency or be creative. Think of some other things. :wave:

kandue - with number "3" you may be getting somewhere but lets try to see it in black as well, try to put that icon as the "O" in "GOLD" and work on it more as if the arrows go around for the gold part as well and is there a way to incorporate another full eagle into it (kind of like the examples given. I don't just want ... or an angel with a torch? You can also play with the word "EXCHANGE".

No one has submitted anything for "GoldExchange.com". Only "Gold Exchange".

Sobi - lets see what the second looks like without the box on the left side and you think you can work on the "O" in "Gold" more. You may be onto something!! You think you can keep the arrows and everything but somehow incorporate an eagle or a phoenix in the middle...

sheryonline - Wow! Now that's nice. You literally put a smile on my face. I like what I am seeing. Kind of threw me off with "Exchanging since 1965". For the slash through "GE" lets try to make around-about arrows to see how that looks. So far you're first place and primary for this contest.

Gtraffic - Looks too sporty. Going for a professional type look. No high-chime lighting either. That will most certainly not be in the logo. I don't want the logo to "shine".

kandue - For the eagle/phoenix in "O" recheck the samples I gave so that you can get an idea. I am not looking for just an eagle/phoenix face. Take the arrows out of "X" in exchange. For the Statue of Liberty, consider trying to having it more open or transparent.
