question Pre-registration of Domains for not yet live TLDs. Makes sense? Best way how?

question's in the title . What tools / approaches / registrars do you recommend for pre-registering a domain name for a TLD that doesn't yet allow public registrations?

Just pre-register with a couple of providers, or as many as possible?

No, it doesn't make sense. In the past many new extensions would use these lists as a template on what terms to reserve because of demand.

I am not aware of many extensions where a pre-reservation actually got the domain without competition.
