I launched http://bookclub.co.in not even 24 hours back. And I see the pagerank as PR5 ! I am not even able to find if the name has any history.

Any idea ?

Thanks,
Pratik

Other than dropping to your knees and thanking the Google Gods, I have no idea. :)

http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm

MarketLeap is one of the original resources for checking multiple search engines. You can check 4 domains at a time. You should include the "www." for the most accurate results, but try both ways.

I dont think it is impossible but it certainly is rare, I have read in some of the tutorials at a popular seo site that if you have inbound links from a site with PR7 or higher then your site will be indexed in a day or so and due to the status of the sites linking to you, new sites have been known to go in as high as a pr5.

heard that too but mostly they are just rummors...or they ware.. until now!

The PR5 that is being displayed in the toolbar is not for bookclub.co.in. What I suspect is that in the code googlebot is simply being redirected to a PR5 page (check the cache). I'm afraid that this PR is of no value, rather it might be hurting your site.

It could be a temporary G glitch too. But if I were you I would check the code asap.

Well, I am not sure if it's a good thing or bad. But this domain ( http://bookclub.co.in ) never existed before and I don't know anything about 31 inbound links ( http://www.google.com/search?source...LD,GGLD:2005-19,GGLD:en&q=link:bookclub.co.in )

I am not concerned much about PR because I am not planning to have any Ads in near future. Just that this seems a bit weird..

:) I meant the code for your page or your .htaccess. Just trying to help out dude.

When you check the cache for bookclub.co.in
http://216.239.59.104/search?hl=en&q=cache:bookclub.co.in&btnG=Google+Search
it shows that of hightouchhightech.com and not your page!!

I also think it's a glitch. It's impossible for a site, 24 hours after was launched, to have a PR of 5 !!

I think it will go down to PR 0 in the next days.

A123 : yeah - I noticed that. And I have no clue about that site :-s I was just joking :P

Well, I am not sure if this is good or bad. But I don't really care. I have no plans to sell the site or put ads there. Not before it has 2k members :P

I also think it's a glitch. Let's see..

No ! The thing is that the domain never redirected to any other site. I am the first person to register it after .co.in registration was open in Feb.
