Potential seller is worried about his email accounts

Hello,

I have found a domain that I'm interested in and made mid x.xxx offer for it. The owner responded and was surprised by my high offer. He looks interested but says he doesn't want to sell right now because he and his family use the domain for email accounts.

Is there a solution I can offer to the owner?

Just offer to maintain their existing E-mail addresses for a transitional period, even a lengthy one

I recently made a high xxxx purchase with the same issue. We set up new email addresses for them at their new domain and put in an autoresponder.

We decided that we would make the contract be for 6 months.

I sold the domain 3 weeks later to an enduser for a nice profit and inserted the same clause in our contract.

It is a bit of a hassle, but it can definitely be done.

I think the above suggestions are workable... I had a similar issue with a domain I made an offer on almost 2 years ago... Wouldnt take the deal, so Unfortunately I didnt acquire it, but made the same offer to maintane the emails for 6 months and setup new ones (my treat!)

One of the domains I have on the market is also my primary email domain. (the domain name pre-dates the rush (I'm the original owner registered in 93 or 94) and I never thought a domain name would be worth thousands. It is good to hear that email agreements are not unheard of should I ever get an offer over my threshold (after 10 years no one has come close so it may not ever happen).

Yeah...just run the email for them. The easiest is to get them to change email address to Gmail or something...and FORWARD all mail at their old email addresses. Agree to do this for one year which should be enough time for them to change it wherever they need to.
