advice Pointing domains to pages on main website

I have a number of domains I want to put up for sale. I see Buy Domains and Huge Domains have their domains forward to a page on their main domains. How do they do that? Is that 301 redirect using htaccess?

When I try to check the redirect on their domains it gives me a 403 error
