Plenty of offers on Sedo!

Is it just me or have any of you that have you're names parked & for sale on Sedo started receiving plently of offers on different names? This has all just started over the past month or so as before, I hardly got any offers at all.

Mind you, those names are getting lowball offers in the Low $xxx range. All of my names at Sedo are marked as "Make an Offer". It has also mainly been in the .tv extention as well, with a few .com ones too.

I've been with SEDO several years and have only gotten a few offers. I've never sold anything there over $260.

There are people who go around sending lowballs on hundreds (or thousands) of names at Sedo. It's pretty much the same thing as mass whois lowballing, but now you have the added convenience of processing transactions through Sedo escrow.

Congrats. :)

I think .tv is very hot in these days, but the premium names renewal fee is really a hell :(

I've always thought .tv was too restrictive but that's just my opinion :)

The opposite, had a very good earlier part of the year with sales via sedo in to low $30K.

The last 4/5 weeks has seen offers almost dry up but I do set minimums to avoid all the lowballs.

Whois lowballing and Sedo lowballing are very different. :imho: Whois lowballers look for people with inadequate domain experience to try to get a good deal on names that might not necessarily be for sale, whereas Sedo lowballers go after people that willingly listed their name on the site. Additionally, Sedo users can either set their name to "not for sale" or set a higher asking price if they want to avoid lowball offers.

no wonder they have'nt got the decency to reply or cancel the transaction if they're not interested in countering....all those 30 seconds must add up !

I don't see a big point in creditcard.tv, casino.tv etc although surely crafty ppl could do something with them.

The thing about sedo is, user's cannot set a price above $10,000 whatever it is. They want a "39.99 lb" appraisal, approximately $63.70 USD for a sedo appraisal.

Its unbelievable, because I have low ball offers, I can't turn down, have to set a price under 10k...Which I wont. So instead I am not going to buy their stupid $63.70 appraisal, instead, I decided to withdraw all my domains.
