I think that the color (orange) is not becoming to the site, what's about black with a little red? that's classical color.

classic for what? This is a heaven, not hell... Also, this a site for links, do you really think link directories are dark?

The corner images do not match the background. Your site can also use a logo. Other then that your site is easy to navigate.

I think the words that are in the orange background should be white.

Hey,
the header (where the orange is) , doesn't blend into the beige-ish kinda color.
Orange doesn't seem to go with that . So try something else , maybe a dark beige color.
Also the header seems empty just text , and the font doesn't go well either.
If you need some good fonts look on dafont.com

The orange links kill my eyes over the white (very light gray) background. I have an LCD screen, maybe it's different on a CRT.
