Ok folks,

time to get some of my own medicine,...go easy on me, though.

IntelBank is set up to be a financial forum, free of charge, taking care of people having questions about debt or how to make a million...and anything in between.

There are a few things i want you to consider in your review:
1, The news portion on top of the page should actually be used as an "invitation to register" and disappear upon logging in. Since i have no idea how to do this in SMF though, i had to choose the News section to overcome the shortcoming of knowledge.

2, some of the google ads may still refer to intel based products, i'm in the middle of accumulating the exclusions, so far i'm on over 50 exclusions, and it seems that there's a lot more to go.

The logo and banner are custom designed, the English/American version is starting, the European version soon to follow.

We chose the charcoal backdrop with green forum skin on purpose, not to be too classic yet not to be too over the top at the same time.

Anyways, after reviewing over 100 sites from you, fellow NPers, it's time to let you rip into me. Go easy on me, i'm an old guy

Ok first off i like the way you have brandaded your site the B logo all over gives a very pro look..i like the background too though i dont like the black ( its just me :p)

Is it important to have those buttons in the footer? and *cough cough* its not XHTML 1.0 Transitional :p

On second though the black bacground could you make it ligher shade of black?

Registration is quick ( but y should my password be 8 characters long? )

I like the news box and the way it disappears..

Overall a diffrenet idea and all the best for your site

The buttons in the footer? Had me confused there for a sec. These buttons came with the SMF forum, and it seems that i cannot get rid of them, just like the "news" box should actually be my invitation to register, much like the NamePros message before you log in with your credentials. I guess i found the limitations of SMF.
Thanks for pointing out the password length, i'll change that immediately.
EDIT: I suppose i found another limitation, i cannot seem to edit the password length...

Anyone else? The more the merrier

What you want to hear when posting forum skin to review? Nothing to review, 95% of this site not yours. I can give an opinion only to:

1. Logo
2. Color schema
3. News block

1. Logo. Not so bad, congratulations, but need to be more accented.
2. Color schema isn't perfect and must be changed a bit. Make the brown darker to be more readable.
3. News block. I'm sorry, but must be completely redesigned. You must forget about the "desappearing effects", center text alignment and do something with too dark background.

95% isn't mine? the logo is custom, the skin is custom and the backdrop is custom as well, if that doesn't qualify for "mine" then i don't know what.

The news box sucks, no doubt about that. It's a limitation of SMF that the forum doesn't have an option to display a "registration" box that disappears upon logging in. Thus, my switch to vBulletin within the next days.

I'll tune the brown to something else, i give you that point.

gjsys, i mean the architectural aspect when said "site isn't yours". You done the "cosmetical repearing" of the layout, but keep the architecture.

oh, yes. in that aspect you're absolutely right. It's where i simply have no idea how to re-arrange SMF.
