domain please help me to appraise my domains- thanks!!:)

I would like to sell my portfolio of domains, yet need some input as to the value.. please help :tri: They are mostly undeveloped and I have utilized several free appraisal tools to base my prices on. Yet... they're free so how reliable are they? I've used several for comparison and decided to go with the highest appraised value to post for sale, but any help would be sooo greatly appreciated, especially around the .ws ones.. one of mine was valued at $70,000+ with one domain appraisal tool (Domain Tops)! Is it realistic that it may sell for that amount?? So here they are, and In advance to anyone willing to lend a hand, thank you ever so much!!!!! :wave:

You will need to read and read and read before buying anymore domains.

These domain are worthless in my opinion, you may get your reg-fee back for kinq.net if you're lucky, but thats it. (not sure about 0L2.net)

What could the domain Should.ws possibly be used for?? Rather stick to keyword names when starting out. Think what the name could be used for before registering the domain. Check the end-user possibilities as well before regging a name.

Thank you, Gilescoley, for your honesty and your suggestions!! Much appreciated, but what a bummer to hear... here I thought I was being clever with some of these names!

I definitely see how some could be worthless, yet I cannot imagine that sailboat-bargains.com, thejewelryoasis.com, emarketingbasics, emarketingexpert, premiumurl, & premiumurls are totally worthless? Do you think the same for these as well? Based on the keywords, it seems they could be useful to an end-user, no? Just curious about your thoughts on these since if they are considered worthless as well, then I really need to start from scratch! Argh.

I will definitely read read read as you suggest.... ! I realize there's a learning curve with this

thejewelryoasis.com - Try not putting "the" in front of a name, especially if its 3 words, if it was a bit shorther like TheOasis.com, it would be better, otherwise its too long, and who would search for a "the Jewelry oasis" when searching in Google, unless you plan on branding the name, but that didnt seem likely since you were talking about end-users.

Sailboat-Bargains.com - try and avoid hyphens like the plague when starting out, they are not easy to sell unless the words are really good matches, like Spare-Parts.com or Rental-Apartments.com.

The eMarketing and PremiumURL names are ok, but they are not names that end-users will be knocking on the door for, you will need to go out and actively find end-users if you want to sell them.


These are just my opinions on the names, others might come in and say xxx for all the names, but good luck with the n ames anyway

So, more of my dribble.. what I still don't fully understand is why one appraisal tool I found at Domain Tops would appraise should.ws at a high xx,xxx? I know that should.com sold for a low xx,xxx, but I realize some people are iffy on the .ws-- still, this very high appraisal's a bit of a mystery.

If others have opinions, please do share--even if you think they're crummy names, I think I can take it

Some of those automated appraisal tools just pick up the keyword and see how often if turns up in Google and appraise it that way, you really need to consider the extension and .ws is not a good one, unless its a something like one of these

mmm and Should.com is just a parked page??

Try and stick to .com and .net only until you get the hang of it a bit more IMO
