Hey, guys. I've gotten some help from a few other people and some of my stuff is working now, but I need a bit more help and I know a lot of you guys are really good with this stuff.

I have this computer, a Compaq F572US, and I'm having a bit of driver trouble. I was being a bit adventurous and decided to install Windows XP x64. I checked for drivers before installing and found that all of my devices have drivers for this OS, or so I thought. Apparently I wasn't paying enough attention and was looking at VISTA instead of XP. I've finally managed to get my wireless card working and that has been major in getting things going. Since then, I managed to get three more drivers (for things that aren't incredibly important, but at least I got them), but I still have a few more to get.

There are three devices in my device manager that are still unknown.
-Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
-Coprocessor
-SM Bus Controller

I think that means sound, chipset, and the little device that distributes power to other devices... not 100% sure, though.

Can anyone help me out? :|

Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus:

Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver Compaq Presario F572US Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

But i am afraid to break some bad news to you, your Laptop is doomed to go"kaputt"....why? first of all it is an HP !(the Consumer Laptop, not the business line they are a bit better) :)....and to be more detailed, it has the NVIDIA Chip problem like hundreds of thousands other, u can go here to read more detail(www.hplies.com)....you probably wonder about "Hey, i don't have a DV or TX model"...well, just check it out here:

HP Limited Warranty Service Enhancement Compaq Presario F572US Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

You are sort of lucky, HP admitted here that they have a "Hardware" failure, not like for thousands of affected DV or TX models(well, they did issue some enhanced warranty but that's over and every DV TX owner who has that problem now is fu@#ed or has to go through tons of problems with HP support)

So, if your laptop is still running fine you are lucky but remember the link i send in case it goes kapuff so that you don't miss the deadline for the recall, wasting time during searching for an solution once your wireless stops working :) (an early indicator)

Cheers

Thank you, liquidcherry. I actually found the drivers I need, but that information is appreciated. I know hp is crap and I've been through some nonsense with them recently so my expectations are extremely low, as I've already seen that their standards for service is extremely low.
