you are nearly an "old"boy! 97 posts... well done
Anyway... I don't like the site at all. I must say that the loading times are quick, but thats about it. The site isn't imaginative at all.
Firstly the logo is too different, it is too cheesy and just dosen't fit in. I thought it was an advertising banner to start off with took me about 5 minutes to figure out it was acctually your logo. (PC should be capitals). The flashing text is awful and unprofessional. Yellow is an old colour and should be killed! Blue and yellow should never be mixed, with the one exception of dark "shiny" yellow and slate blue, but that is more complicated.
The orange is nice, especially in contrast with the absolute top blue "bar" (with the language translation links). The rest of the site varys too much. I see what you have tried to do with colour, but I think you have gone slightly OTT. The turquoise title headers are too light compared with the white text and are too contrasting with the other blues.
I think that the layout is very tired as well. It is a generic layout and has no imagination at all. You should use a program such as Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks to design a more graphicly interesting site and then "slice" it. That will give you such a better "bed" to work on.
The things you need to focus on now:
1. get the logo sorted. It needs to fit in and become "part of the site". DON'T make it 468x60 because that is the standard size of advertising banners. Make it static and make it fit in with the orange background.
2. Take away the turquoise and keep the blue consistant throughtout the website.
3. Get more graphics on the site. Make the navigation more graphic, or at least make it stand out more.
4. Take away the monotonus (sp?) "box" layout of the website. Even exchanging them with rounded-cornered boxes would be better. It would give the website an interesting style.
5. Get it branded. Make your website different from so many others out there. If yours stands out of the others, people are going to come back to it.
