Hello,

Wow I love the color scheme. The horizontal pinstripe background is great.

But you asked about layout.....

I would say take the "hot discussion" table and go verticle with it and place it above the google "text" ads but under the firefox link. You've already resized the screenshot and must have tried it on the side menu already. So you have vote number two for the side menu.
Next would be the slight waste of realestate in and around the header area. I think just tighten up bring up the threads a little on the page.
I run a 20" wide screen and it, your design, expands great but has some alignment issues when dropping to 600 x 800 on a 15 " This could be from the table percentages in the "FREE EBOOK DOWNLOAD" table code allowing the First and Third table row to size about 35 % width. This is squeezing the middle table with all the text causing a sky scrapper effect in the table.
One last thing would be to find a way to tie-in the Logo with the icon (zoro).

Over all I like it! Looks great

best wishes

hey there,

Nice Site you have got. I like the color scheme well and the google Ads are well SEO'd.
I Like the way you have arranged the EBook download below the boards and the google Ads Beside it. Great Job! I also Like the way Logo is designed. :)

My suggestion :

Make the forum Layout 780 x 600 leaving 20 Px for the scroll bar. As of now, you have a bigger layout which doesent fit in many monitors as many people use only an 800 x 600 resolution. Now, the google ads on the left side is half noticed as the layout is big.

If this is changed your site will rock!

Thanks ! :)
but about the 800*600 resolution i'm not so sure..

look at this statistics
"Display Resolution: The current trend is that more and more computers are using a screen size of 1024x768 pixels or more

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

that's why my forum is optimized for a 1024 width

i also have modified my "Monitor" logo with a more "human (female of course..)" heading

let me know if you find any error please

thank you

Dario

Hi i also like the color scheme,

i have a few suggestions other than the ones fellow members pointed out.

your adsense ads u should use half banner in that way no url will be displayed and you can have a better CTR

You should make the register button bold to make it stand out.

Regards

do you think it will be kept in mind better ? (for those who just take a look and doesn't bookmark the site)

or i just have to leave that phrase in the header ?

Like the site, the rename will probably help a bit.

The layout is great, repositioning the google ads may help a bit with the CTR, i doubt it tho. You're running a forum, many users are return users not even looking at the google ads. only on occasion will they bother to even click on one.
with the amount of traffic you see to have, you should start selling banner space, price the banners through CPM - cost per thousand impressions (if you have any questions what i mean by that, let me know) integrate the banners in your design, example: NamePros, the banners are never on top of the site, but under the header/logo of NP, making the banner an essential part of the site.

other than that, i think you're on the right track, there is not much more to change, other than i'd scale the buttons to a more 3-d'ish look, making the forum look a bit more animated.
I like the idea of the daily tip you have running towards the bottom, monetize this. "The daily tip is brought to you by...." and then continue with what you're doing already.

all in all, great job. :tu:
