I went to the .COM website and don't see anything adding value there. So the above appraisal is for the domains alone. The main reason that people register the "golden trifecta" is for defensive purposes. But before you defend something, you should have something to protect. In my view the .COM is not of value.

If this premise can be accepted, then the entire exercise of registering these domains was a waste of time and energy. Deduct the cost of registration plus the value you place on your time from zero for exact appraisal figures.

It may be possible to dig out of this negative valuation through value adding content to the .COM website, but there is no doubt in my mind that the .NET and .ORG registrations are totally unnecessary at this time.
