What I meant by "a matter of time" is that the extension .ly is not necessarily Libya to end-users.

So, if the domain is well-developed and as the [ly] suffix is common in English, the website can be used for a not Libya-focused business.

What do you think of that ?

TLD's like this are good for brandable domains or hacks. I don't think this is worth much more than reg fee, at least undeveloped.
