Another punt in the dark, saw this in a droplist and since it is the best I have seen this week I thought I might get it:

33,000 exact searches a month

5M pages in competition (a little high but it is basically the size of a country)

All major extensions taken

Many sub niches to cover including jobs, football, colleges, troopers et all

I know a lot of people don't like .info but I actually think they excel with geographics, hopefully other people think the same

I think it covers both the uni and info about the state of Texas pretty well. I'd lean more towards the school for dev if you were planning that. Well over reg fee, but I don't like putting a number on .info's.

Thanks Ben...I was thinking more along the lines of State of Texas though than strictly a university thing...I think there is good potential, anyone else want to comment on this geo domain?

I see your point MicroGuy, but really it's off-base. There is too much data showing tons of sales WAY above reg fee's in extensions that aren't .com. There is a market and yes, there is money to be made. Will they ever be .com's? No. But it's too hard to ignore these prices for some. Including PaydayLoans.info for $24,000.
