domain Please Appraise Blackburn.biz

I do not know the .biz extension all that well but I do know if it was going to do well it would be in the product and service sectors as well as geographical areas.

As such when I saw blackburn.biz in the drop lists to get a fresh registration applied I knew I had to have it, I used to live there until I was 15 and as well as it having a fairly high profile football club it has 100k+ residents and lots of businesses and quite a few surrounding towns and has been recorded in the domesday book of 1086 so has some fantastic history.

Worth a punt of anyones reg fee...

What do you think as all extensions are taken?

I would only assume that it would work as some sort of business directory for that area, and even then it would competing agaisnt the .co.uk.

If developed it could have worth to some business over there but you know yourself that .co.uk is very strong in the UK.

I think it has worth, especially for some business venture with the extension, just not as much the extension you are up against.

Thanks Firefly, I am very familiar with the town and know quite a lotof people who live and work there which is why I pretty much jumped on it...

It is true and I agree that it has absolutely no chance when going up against .co.uk but that page is parked anyways for a domain leasing company, as are the higher extensions :p

I think it does have some potential to get somewhere in this area since it doesn't have any exact match domain competition

I think its a nice enough domain. I myself own chepstow.biz. I think the value is there for a company in blackburn. £200

It's an interesting town, is Blackburn. I was there the other week - at the Blackburn Rovers v Spurs match. The team is truly horrendeous...

The domain has got to be worth a couple of hundred to a Rovers fan though!

Yeah, they kind of lost their way after Dalglish left but back in the mid-90s they were a real force to be reckoned with lol (especially the two strikers of Shearer and Sutton named appropriately the SAS due to their uncanny ability to pop up behind enemy lines lol)
