There is no history with shocking news.
With you must be joking, I have had the domain for many years and used to run a humour mailing list that got up to about 2000 double opt-in subscibers. I haven't sent a mailing for some time and the site that is there has not been updated for some time. I think it would make a good place to put the "and finally ..." or "oddly enough ..." type news stories in a blog or news format.
Fun and gadgets used to have a blog which had funny gadgets. I didn't keep up the posting and life got busy and the site suffered. I think its a cool name and would make a good home for a cool blog.
