Dude you are missing the point.

And it is totally cool we disagree. Makes life more interesting than everyone just agreeing about everything all the time!

1) The point is to make money.

2) Don't be so quick to dismiss opposing opinions, especially when you ask for them.

3) Congrats on selling a fib. number. How much did you make?

I feel both these names are decent brandables.

I'm not sure if outbounds could work. Would be interesting to give it a try.

Instead, marketing the name heavily might attract some inbounds. Of course, patience is the key.

Overall, both of these seem good to me if you can hold onto them for good amount of time.

1. AGREE 100%
2. This is a fair point. Obviously only I know how I think and feel, just like only you know how you think and feel . . . and we react to what we see! I think I can definitely say, you may be correct. The domain may not sell. On the other hand, it just seemed like you were intimating there was little to no shot. And that might be what you think. Which is fine, I am obviously hoping that is incorrect and that it does sell . . . and not for tens of dollars. I think the bottom line for me is, yes your approximation of things may be spot on, but I just dont think it is such a slam dunk that you are right . . . hoping you are wrong:)
3. Not much, it was def under $100. Id have to look up my exact number, but I think it sold in the 30-50 range . . . which definitely is NOT alot! But it is more than I paid:)

Weird so many of these domains are still for sale or for sale again.

Do you think it is because a speculator bought them with the intent to flip? If so, it makes me feel better I hve $6 in them;)

FWIW I dont like the orangegodaddy names:)

Brandable domains can surely be a lottery ticket but I am just personally not comfortable with it. You are making it more difficult on self.
Selling a domain is tough, selling a brand ale is twice As hard. Not only do you need to sell the domain but you also need to sell the idea.

That is why give me a geo or an exact search term domain over a brandable any day of the week.

Ie your mainst guns versus orangeforex.

Someone may need main st guns for their business but orange describes nothing so if not orange forex they can go green forex.

Main St Guns needs mainstguns, they are not parkwayguns.

...vast majority of end-user buys are brandables, not exact matches or geos

branding is what domains are about...
..if your target is at least $1K+ sales

imo

I would just be guessing why so many are available again. Some of those names were very good, others I wouldn't have purchased.

I don't have a good grasp of the "brandable" market. Orangefx.com is $1.9k, OrangeForex had a website so clearly there's interest. You'll have to be patient or find a list of FX brokers / traders to market it to.
