You raise an interesting point/concept/question. I'm not sure what orange has to do with anything. Well except in the cases that Orange is a last name and or it is dealing with the fruit!!

But I have seen all kinds of colors with all sorts of keywords. What I found is that color plus keyword may literally have nothing to do with what is on the actual web page.

I was looking at past sales with various colors to start the domain and was surprised at what I saw. Some domains have actual websites related and unrelated to Name. While some domains were essentially blank.

I like the idea as a brand, orangeforex is good but not orangefinancing so much. I think you'd struggle to sell without first putting a site on it. Or maybe try brandbucket and see if they'll accept it.

i'll give you a simple idea you can apply whenever you are not sure:

go to google.com, put <*forex.com> (with asterisk but no brackets), search...
you'll get (among other results) many forex sites that use word+forex.com domains
from which you can get a rough idea what is popular in this namespace and is used by real end-users (google usually demotes those parked and crappy sites, not always but most of the time)

examples (skipping forex.com and unrelated stuff, from first 3 pages):

dailyforex
hotforex
easy-forex
doorstepforex
atozforex
instaforex
urbanforex
liteforex
topforex
justforex
natureforex
superforex
etc...

now go to namebio for sold ones...
there's $5K redforex sale indeed in 2012.
though not developed, hosting account suspended, it seems..

now it's up to you to decide if color goes nicely with forex...
not that the above tells you all and everything but it's worth taking it into consideration too, imo
i personally don't like orange + forex but i hardly speak any English so can easily be wrong 100% in either direction

In Canada ING Direct bank was sold to ScotiaBank and renamed Tangerine. They named it that because orange was the color for ING direct.

Ally used a deep purple until they sold out to Royal Bank in Canada.

Color is kind of entrenched in financial, @Want2learn has his finger on something. I went through color names a while back looking for a good financial match.

Agree with you @mr-x that most resellers would not be willing to pay much premium for this name but if @Want2learn pitchs the right end users he might get lucky and make a good return.

This clearly is the $64 dollar question! Some of domaining is pure data/analytics! Some domaining is a huch/gut feeling. Some domaining is luck. Some domaining is timing. Some domaining is the trends of the day. I suppose there is blending of all the things domaining could be.

For example, I hand reg 112358132134.com. I have already sold it. I regret selling it bc I sold it for too little. If you are into numbers you know what it is and cannot believe I hand regd it a few months ago. If you dont know numbers, you see a bunch of horse dung, and think Im the luckiest SOB here. So which is it? Perhaps both Spoiler alert, it is the fibonacci sequence or code!

To your question . . .you tell me, is there a comparable or better domain than OrangeForex or OrangeFinancing in King? If it is available lmk, Ill go reg it!

And yet what does all of this have to do with anything? My point was not, I have sold the fibonacci code for 10k. It was to illustrate that names appeal to different people. At the end of the day the bottom line is the BL . . . $$ You say something comparable can be had for 9. Maybe so. Id like to see! I say I have sold some names people like you say are undesireable. That gives me hope for these two.
