I got to reading a bunch of various pieces of content around here, and went ahead and regd

HQTV.ONLINE

What I anticipate is this:

1. Stop hand regging
2. Stop wasting money
3. Save your money for a quality domain
4. You are missing the point as it pertains to domains
5. If you want to waste money, give it to me



What I don't understand then is this:

I read a bunch today about various technologies. I checked to see if HQTV was trademarked. It is dead, Samsung use to have it. I googled HQTV because I did not know what it was. I saw over and over watch HQTV ONLINE. There was talk of HQ.TV in a thread. I do understand HQTV.ONLINE is not as good or the same as HQ.TV.

But what am I not connecting? In my mind right now I think hey, that was a nice play on words. HQTV def goes with online. Samsung thought enough of it to trademark it. I know it is dead now, but there was a reason it was trademarked . . . and it reason it went dead, I know!

But for the life of me if HQTV.BIZ is the first website up after googling HQTV then I simply do NOT understand why HQTV.ONLINE will get trashed here?

i think you believe in quantity so keep regging , and hold these for 5 - 10 years . May be you hit your luck by chance . Good luck

I understand how HQ.TV is nice and short. And I can see how there is also some flexibility in what it could stand for. There are actually several HQTV domains that are active!

I can appreciate you saying, you don't like it it isn't for you.

I am having a difficult time hearing $0. Thankfully I am not even $2 over that if in fact you are correct. It just doesn't make sense to me. For the sake of clarity I am asking for valuation bc I don't know. So I guess I can't be too upset with a value of $0 since I can't say it is worth XXXXXXX or nothing! But $0 just feels so low. I don't normally do this . . . But I will be absolutely shocked if it does NOT sell for atleast XXX. I guess I am alone again o this one!

high quality (definition) tv online..makes good sense. Of course, hq.tv is nicer and shorter..but it was not available, I presume

Still, try to pick for example name of some actual product in connection with .online (something like candles.online, food.online, etc)..

If not available, try to buy it from another domainer for wholesale price. This way, you can get some value to your porfolio.

I mean, it is better to have 10 really good names, then 1000 bs names, which will drop after year of holding.

I def see why you would think that. I have regd a lot of domains over the past month(s). I really saw HQTV.ONLINE as a nice opportunity. Not huge money. But a shot at a little piece of the pie!

You've read a thread on HQ.TV and then from there rushed to lookup variations of HQTV. There was nothing prior to this that would have ever led you to consider or look at registering the name you did. Then you registered the .online because it was the only one left.

To summarize the method you employed:

Read about something
Do a quick google search
Quickly register whatever was the best left over.

This is rarely going to work and you will spend a fortune because "read about something" happens all the time.

.Online sells ...people in lot of countries intuitively understand it, and although extension is very young, I see uptick of demand for my names in last few months - names which are even not in English language.

From all new gTLDs, I would say this one is where there is higher probability names will be actually sold in 2017. Saying that, I am not so much convinced that HQTV is THE best keyword one can pick there, but it is also not that bad

as from what i've seen, this is pretty much how many entry level hopefuls, find names to register.

it's good to read, but if it's not .com you register, then what did you read?
