Just because its a .co I still think it has potential.. if its developed.

If you can offer free logo .psd's and integrate adsense on there then you have a potential gold mine.

"Free logo" pulls in 33,100 EXACT monthly searches, so there is a market out there for it.

Develop it and earn some revenue, then it'll be worth something! As it stands, it is worth $0.

.co is avoided by most serious domainers like the plague and just about anyone who makes money.

Don't fall into the trap as I did. Yes there are a certain number of searches per month but do not always assume that number of monthly searches equates to that domain receiving the traffic. For a multitude of reasons it could fail to receive any of the organic search traffic.

Yes I understand that, but with some SEO work then this domain/site could rank within the top #5. The domain itself has great advantages for being in the high natural search results. Obviously things wont happen overnight and a little effort is going to be required if the OP wishes to make some form of profit from it.

Its a co and offers to work for free $0 in my opinion, goodluck
sorry there is an "m" missing at the very end ;)

What's this, the .com coalition? You guys should start that and protest at ICANN until they withdraw all extensions besides com. Seriously now, do you really have nothing else better to do than to share your biases in the wrong places?

@jf

Some nice exacts, the word free makes the monetizing possibilities lower but developed you can actually earn something. And the TLD is ok.

your rant getting old already!

the reseller bar higher on dot co

i dont feel there a reseller market with this keyword on dot co. I should be able to say that without you storming into the thread against me and others!

offering a free logo site not as easy as you think, just the threat of someone b*****g about your free logo look like their trademark logo enough not to do it. Let alone the massive amout of intial logo work need just to start hoping to get an ad click. These are factored in.

Maybe it gets traffic or the dot com would want it, i forgot to say that in my first post. Good luck OP

1. Yours is getting older.
2. Yes you should be able to say this and thanks for sharing your thoughts. "Its a co and offers to work for free $0 in my opinion, goodluck" is quite different than what you said just above.
3. OFC it is not easy, it's very hard. But that has NOTHING to do with the tld.

That would be all, GL OP.

It is not what we think it is what YOU think.

Its a beautiful thought - a domain name with the energy to possibly explode.

We all started out as single cell nuclei and look at us now. So with any domain name - what you put into it is what you will get out of it. Three rules of my thumb:

Buy, Develop, Sell

Go with the name - develop and fly high.

Good luck.

1. They're both same age and started as soon as .co was launched.

2. It's a .CO and offers to work for free is $0 - it's hard to monetize a site offering FREE items that are appropriately licensed.

3. You could develop a successful site on anything and it's hard. That has nothing to do with the TLD

Reseller market for .CO is flatlined.

Cannot be a shortener and is not something that would be a defensive reg.

$0 plus or minus a little bit

And the TLD is ok.
Well that depends on whom you ask.

Some nice exacts, the word free makes the monetizing possibilities lower but developed you can actually earn something.
The name is okay but as you already suggested it would have to be developed.
In general the domain names that sell are those with commercial appeal. When you offer 'free' stuff you have to make money through indirect means like adsense or affiliate for example.
If you use a misleading domain like freelogo with nothing but commercial logos then people won't visit twice and won't bookmark your site.

Personally I don't think a reseller would pay more than $100. Finding an end user for a .co is where the challenge is.

Well, you have several options for this domain. Don't let naysayers discourage you on here, anytime a ccTLD pops up especially .CO you gonna have haters. Anytime something is in the spotlight haters always come out no matter what. The truth is .CO continues to grow and is a very strong ccTLD and gTLD with many impressive developments and big business involvement. If you have a good solid keyword domain it is worth money, some are easier to sell than others it mainly boils down to where the market is on your type of domain. People are eager to start new websites and they all need logos so you are in a good position here...

Free is good and can be promoted as logo software, a logo generator, beginners section, and lead into purchasable items to make the website profitable.

Without development you can probably get low $xxx maybe mid $xxx. With development sky is the limit.

The guy has it listed for sale for $100 and bought it a couple days ago, its a name they bought to be flipped for an $80 profit

Not everyone that owns a name wants to develop it

Its so easy to tell another person to develop

If it was logos.co or logo.co Would you be calling me a hater? my luv would be out there lol

You are absolutely right not everyone wants to develop I was just throwing out a couple of ideas. The hater part is pretty clear when people say that .CO has zero value and other wasteful comments alike. Give me a break .CO has made some pretty big accomplishments and is growing everyday. You know I am not a .xxx fan but I don't go around saying good keyword domains are worthless, that's ridiculous and not advice it is just an extreme bias.

I realize sometimes people register crappy domains but be constructive not destructive it just isn't helpful.

I see that .co owners (unlike the "haters") are not biased at all ;)

I guess if I were posting the total opposite of what the haters are posting in here I could see your little drive by comment making sense. I'm not stating anything but facts --->> the fact is .CO is in the spotlight and gaining momentum in tough times I might add with business owners and investors. If you don't like the ccTLD/gTLD fine but make a compelling argument and tell the truth which appears to be extremely hard to do for those haters...

I agree .com is king but .co has made tremendous progress in a short period.
