I guess the .co haters won.

Without development you can probably get low $xxx maybe mid $xxx.
The pro .co gang didn't think $10 was worth a gamble on a low-mid $xxx name? Oh that's right we're talking reseller. What price would it have had to been for you to take it? $1? $2?

The appraisal should focus on the name not the extension, that's true, but average keywords on a .co will always be regfee. .CO has shown great strides? It has if you include a very specific market segment - that would be helpful to know vs ".co has done well in a short time" No it hasn't for most.

Tell those that have been taking a loss on land rush auction names that .CO is doing well.

I'd love a new NP appraisal rule - thou must not appraise a name with reseller value at which you would not seriously consider buying it. You could list this all year for $50 and not get one bite, imho. (This would be 10-50% of the highest appraisal here)

I only own 1 (one) .co domain , I don't know which is the "co gang", I didn't say the name is worth something, I said that developed it can earn some bucks and it can.

I don't mind appraisals for worthless names that say the obvious but I DO MIND when people copy MicroGuy in style and become arrogant and destructive. I tried to refrain as much as I could but I couldn't anymore after those 3 posts which I quoted which had maximum 5% connection with the name and the rest about this extension.

IMO it should be MOD's business to delete these kind of posts which are kinda offtopic to the thread and absolutely destructive for NP.

Just my view, I'm not looking for any ego-banging with you guys.

Great suggestion.
But then again it could scare the shit out of appraisers and all appraisals would be 0$ or reg fee, even good names. :hehe:

Basically any name with any extension can earn some bucks developed. Even the crappiest domain name with the poorest extension could make some bucks with development. So whats the point of even mentioning such a vague comment? Its not better than some comments you are complaining about !:]

That can be said about any domain name. The focus for appraisals is on resale value for undeveloped domains, it's not about extrapolating what it could be worth with development.
.co being what it is, the likelihood of a sale is not 100%. That has to be factored in the appraisal price. If that helps.

You sure read alot in my "Its a co"

I purposely avoided commenting on your rings.pro appraisal because how you worded your warning. Thread seems deleted now.

I am hopeful in the future you avoid quoting me, if you do we will get along fine.

Goodluck to you too

Some nice exacts, the word free makes the monetizing possibilities lower but developed you can actually earn something. And the TLD is ok.

That's exactly what I said.

sorry there is an "m" missing at the very end ;)

That's exactly what you said BEFORE editing your post into a worse one.

There's a difference in approach.

Too bad I liked this forum but now I understand why some reputable old members are gone and other TROLLERS are still here.

Allow me to quote you once more sir!

Yea I read "a lot" in your 3 words.

I asked (warned) just because I didn't want posts such as " dot pro is worthless" like your friend here said and I asked for the thread to be deleted as it was pointless.

i have nothing personal against neither one of this forum's members, i have a lot against some posts. sometimes i over react but most of the times i'm afraid not.

I think you just read it too literally.

I'll explain how I read it and maybe that will help others who are new to the forum. Remember that appraisals are free and not everyone has the time to write up a full essay.

It's a CO meaning (hard to value highly) AND offers work for free...

The AND is important here. Johname acknowledged that LOGO.CO would be a great name - not $500K great but not $0.

The AND was imporant part of the criteria. If it wasn't offering freelogos? Maybe he would have said $100.

Johname will give a positive appraisal when it deserves one! He's not a .com bigot like MG.

That's a true reason for an appraisal of $0 if the keyword to the left is not enough to offset that and in this case it isn't.

Ski.co, Diamond.co, Happy.co, Flatbread.co all have value way more than $0. You should assume that the consideration included the left of the dot component even it wasn't stated.

Sounds like hopkism lost money on .CO; however, you left off the rest of his post which stated that although the search numbers were good that doesn't translate to visitors or traffic.

As you can see. I didn't read it the same as you. Sometimes you need to be more open minded.

I have invested quite a lot in .TV (i'm not much of a seller) and I can tell you unequivocally that if you know what you're doing you can make money (and I have). I know people that are doing ok in .co.

There are a LOT not doing well and that's the concern that most people have for .CO investors - the lure of regfees. I do it all the time on .COM lol.. I have a lot of junk.

Peace out. :hearts:

Thanks for the post and time.

You're probably right, I went over the line a bit and I apologize if anyone felt offended (MG not included).

Just that it sums up and here is where the glass filled up.

Peace out!
