I have CLIPARTS.org for appraisal please. Singular would have been better, but plural isn't that bad.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter, IMO I do not see too much value. As you mentioned it is plural and it is .org. MAYBE if you could find the right end user or even a re-seller that has an end user. I would be surprised if you could sell it for more than $50.

I am sorry but I don't agree with your comments. It's a great name for end-user or start-up who is into graphics. Even though its .ORG it is acceptable and at least it's in the top 3 TLD's. Come on now re-appraise this bad boy? $50 you say, at that price, I would buy it without blinking an eye!

OK, looked at it again, and our favourite bot estimates it at $2700. This time I am overriding the bot (again) and sticking to my $50 estimate. But hey, thats just me, lets wait for other estimators...

First off I think people overlook .org; This extension brought my fist 4 figure sale in domaining and also my first 5 figure sale. What people see as trash can be treasure for another. It's the most solid extension after .com imo.

I think the name in general will sell to a domainer between $50 to low xxx..

Enduser would pay between $500 to $1,050 IMO maybe through sedo or godaddy...

Cliparts.net sold for $1,400 and clipart.ws for $850

But these sales were in 2007, so I'm not sure how popular cliparts are right now in 2016 and people were not even trying to buy kitchen.ws for $125..not long ago.

http://cliparts.co/ is developed...not sure if it makes money ..

So if you get a couple hundred for it or better thats a great deal.

But most general offers will be xx to low xxx, especially for domainers..

This is a fine domain that has been continuously registered since 2001.
The .net has a reg date of 2004 and is for sale too, asking price is 5K...

I like this one but the world clipart has a 1990s smell. Is it just me ?

Does the TLD hurt ?
IMO .org is perfectly okay for free/open source resources...

A domainer might not pay more than $50 but that doesn't do justice to the name.

I too think you might realistically get a couple hundreds for the name. But I found only 3 reported sales for the keyword in dnsaleprice, which suggest there is little aftermarket demand for the keyword.
May be worth developing. But I think the market is pretty much cornered between gazillions of free offerings and professional resources.
Good luck :)

Hi Kate, I totally agree Cliparts was around at the start of the Internet, if not before. But nevertheless everyone knows what cliparts is, so I guess it must have some perceived value. Ironically someone on this forum must have seen the name and has made an offer which I am very happy to accept. $xxx

I think most people now don't even know or remember what cliparts are. I say $xx to low $xxx. Good luck!
