This is a township I am very familiar with because of my proximity to it. Although it is small in population it gathers a significant tourism industry for the tri-state region due to the presence of Put-In-Bay island, Cedar Point, and Kelley's Island. It also has a lot of key history. For Ohioans it becomes a Florida for the winter with an excessive number of boaters.

This was a hand registration that I am thinking of developing into a mini-site linking to restaurants, hotels, ferry service, etc. Thank you.

I've owned a few .NETs like this and would appraise the domain at $250 to $500 under most circumstances.

However if what you say is true, then it is worth more. Anytime several people offer $xxx for something, at least one will pay more. The key here is "several people" and multiple "offers of $xxx". If these folks contacted you first cold-call-style, then you can fetch at least $2000 for this domain. Just contact each of those people and ask for $2500 and take the $2000 or even $1500.

Thanks guys. I approached my summer employer about my ownership of this domain and he was very impressed. He offered to purchase ad space on it on an annual basis (great worker-employer relations). However, he mentioned it to several friends of which contacted me explicitly looking to offer said amount. They are in similar positions and own high end restaurants/bars in the corresponding area.

My thought process now, since I am out of the country for a while and unable to maintain daily conversation with them is to build it up, get all three onboard for advertising. Then when the season gets back to peak tourism, quietly offer the opportunity for exclusive advertisement rights or sale on an individual basis. By then they should have more capital and a more competitive spirit.
