I saw that BusinessTiger.com was up for sale at quite a high price and didn't want to compete in the action or possible drop catch. I'm not experienced enough in the market for that. But I thought I'd try to get a piece of the action by looking at other extensions and the co.uk was available.
I used to only buy .coms. But for British based businesses, I'm finding that co.uks are pretty good. On two of my best sites I only own the co.uk and not the .com, and on another one I have both co.uk and .com, but only use the .com to redirect to the co.uk.
In some ways I think that co.uks are better for a British business - it gives a clear message that it's British.
