Why did you get this one? Something we don't know about?

Hang out on the forum for awhile, learn more, before spending your hard-earned shekels on domains. Check out my list (sig) to see much better available names that mean something.

Edit: never mind. Just checked, and you actually regged BourbonShots.com, not BourbonShoots. Careful of typos when placing names for appraisal, it messes us all up.
Still - no value, IMO. Nothing you can do with this name, I don't see any end users wanting the name bourbonshots.com for a website, and it gets practically no monthly searches so it's not a traffic-worthy name.

i know i am going to end up with the reputation of a shock jock in this place but i am going to be honest no point having a long typo unless you know nobody can spell it. But in this case it is not a just a typo but two words that don't go together but it doesn't make it valueless. It may not be worth anything as a resale but not as a money earner. You may find that it somehow gets search engine hits that you can redirect to a liquor affiliates or your traffic scripts. As far as a value goes it is worth the register fee. You may find the mispell would get even more hits eg more people cannot spell bourbon than shots so burbonshots.com maybe worth buying if your looking to make most of these mispells.

I will also add if you really are chasing that traffic whiskyshoots.com or whiskyshot.com etc may also be worth chasing should you be aiming at that market. The resale of these solo may not be worth anything but the collective traffic might be worth something to you. In general time is money so there are better sites to play with if your not just making turnkey instant sites.

no point having a long typo

You missed my post above; OP does indeed own BourbonShots with the correct spelling; OP typed BourbonShoots in this thread by mistake, that typo is still available to register.

OP, you need a very clear reason to reg a name when you get it. Always think of the end user (assuming you want to resell rather than dev for personal use). Look at the search engines and don't reg a name unless you strongly feel there are at least a couple dozen end users who look like they may realistically be interested in buying the domain in question. Understanding that key phrase 'realistically be interested in buying the domain in question' is an art in itself and takes a lot of thought.

Thank you everybody for your opinions. I am sorry about the spelling. It really is bourbonshots.com ... It sucks it doesnt have any real value... I was reading how many people made good money with buying and selling names that I thought I would give it a try... I wasnt really thinking as I was drinking bourbon the night I bought it. Anyway, now that I am reading and studying more the domain business I can see all your opinions.

Well i will chime back in and say $XXX on a good day. It really isn't a bad domain james beam might throw a hundred at you for a competition site. Make some sort of animated drinking game and you might be on a winner.
