domain Please Appraise AutoRepair.at

Anyone have any experience with the .at tld? I saw this name available and thought it was well worth the punt for a low reg fee.

.at is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Austria.
The Languages of Austria include German, the official language and lingua franca, Austro-Bavarian, the main language outside Vorarlberg, Alemannic, the main language in Vorarlberg, and several minority languages.

Autowerkstatt=AutoRepair i will try to help you but i'm not the best to do it but what i see here is if you go to Austria trying to sale autorepair.us O_O they will like we don't need that same happens if you come to use trying to se .at other thing is that maybe they use some english out there but who knows how much what if for a country we can autorepair like this gegrgegsgrgcgsrdsss.us ,and you come to use trying to sell that just because in your country that mean autorepair no one will buy that on this site of the world no one use .at but we never know some one might be just looking at some like that hope good luck

Thank you mazzinni for your input. Yes it's very true about the languages like you mentioned. Like I said I went for this name as some good english words have sold including Romance.at, MyFamily.at, BeautyGuide.at and Compare.at all in the low $x,xxx region.

Anyone else agree this may have some value or did I waste reg fee?

Auto is easy to understand but I would reg KFZService.at or something like that.

I my opion .de is just the better tld.

For what it's worth the name is registered in a couple European ccTLDs. Didn't check them all. The neighboring .ch & .cz are registered.
One end user might want to expand abroad, then they would logically secure the local TLD. But TBH I don't think it's going to sell easily. Sounds a bit too American to me for the local market.

Something like BeautyGuide is also used in German language.

As i mentioned in other appraisal threads, some english words are used in Germany or the german words are the same as in english.

Internet, jobs, ad , guide , shop , game , portal , radar , park, torrent, trainer, webdesign, email, etc etc ..... all these and many more are used in germany

But Repair is not used. Auto also means car in german but repair is "Reparatur"

single words like food are not used in german language but can be branded.


So as i mentioned in the VIP appraisal, i don't see any value in this.

I would keep it if the renewal costs are reasonable. For example, if searching Google.at for "site:*repair.at", sites like computer-repair.at, scratch-repair.at and other come up.
