I'm an antiques dealer and Ilike playing around with related domains. I have quite a few domains some of which I have owned for a couple of years. I was wondering if you guys & gals would be kind enough to appraise for me. Also please give thoughts on how brandable any of them are. I know there are'nt any .com's in the lot, but I feel that the new TLD's have so much potential and seem just as remember-able as saying .com.

If you are antiques dealer, I think you made pretty good choices, mainly in case you plan to develop them.

Propaganda.Services and ShopBoston.org - I do not feel them, no value imo.

But Antiques.Today and Collectibles.Today are very nice.

Mainly Antiques.Today is amazing. One thing people do not know is that from some reason, domain names in .today are getting lot of traffic.

It is easy to test what kind of traffic Antiques.Today will get, as you can park it, for example with bodis.com. If I can make my bet, I think the name can get around 60-100 visitors/month. Maybe more..that needs to be tested. Of course, some traffic like this is not bad at all.

Also, if the site will be nicely developed from SEO point of view, Antiques.Today can rank very high in search results. Imo ideal domain name to develop.

Just opinions of course, but find these two names interesting and eye catching, Antiques.Today and Collectibles.Today.

In particular Antiques.Today has a nice flow and agree with the poster above re SEO development.

I would use Antiques.Today if you already have an established domain for your business
as a re-direct to your original presumed website or page. Believe that name could have a variety of potential business uses as might Collectibles.Today.

ShopBoston.org I believe with a bit of effort has moderate marketplace potential value.

I loved to shop in Boston ( primarily antiquarian shops, antique shops looking for select antiques and collectible items and the retail malls/centers etc too so to me those three names have tons of nostalgia 'bout 'em).

Possibly an area business / merchants association or CVB might determine ShopBoston.org as a worthy domain.

" ShopBoston" could also serve well for a " shop by category " type directory with paid listings/ads etc.

I guestimate it's value mid xxx - lower end xxxx with some marketing effort. Nice .org IMO.

I'll leave propaganda.services to others although it is an interesting name/ext combo.

Yes, I hope to SEO & monetize them. I think the today domains are registered with godaddy, how do I go about parking these domains? I don't want them to become associated with spam if you know what I mean. & yes, there is just something about the .today domain that really works with single words like antiques, etc. I'm very excited about the new domain extensions.

Yes, shopping in Faniel Hall is quite fun if you are a visitor to Boston. I used to work a cart in the Hall and I have an affinity for the place. I was thinking exactly that, a merchant gateway of some sort. I wish there were three of me so I could get something done. Thanks for the upbeat post.

If you want to be 100% sure that domain is not associated with spam, them do not park it
But if you want to test the traffic, you can park it for 1 month or so..the probability that this parking would somehow "damage" the domain is very small imo (but it can happen sometimes).

You will be able to see traffic data, how many visitors, from what countries, and also other paramaters. It is very easy tool. I think there is a BODIS forum somewhere at NamePros with lot of details, but I would just go to bodis, create account and park it. If you will not like anything, you can easily remove your domain from there with 1 click I do not think there is anything what might go wrong really, at least from my experience.
