Please advise on my new site

I used a joomla template but the content is all mine and I have put a lot of work into it.

What is everyones thoughts on my development so far...not done with menus by cuisine?

website is:

ToledoRestaurantMenus^^com (3 weeks old)

or I registered and forwarded monstermenus^^com to help avoid typos.

Google/msn/yahoo all find and alexa ranked 12 million....

I am not a developer so I have no idea what your saying. I used joomla and added tables to my pages....hense I don't know how to fix it. I have been going to it everyday checking it and all the pages because I am constantly adding content and making changes and I have not had any problems....are you using internet explore?

The validation has nothing to do with internet explorer. It has to do with the markup code used to create the page.

Is anyone else having problems because like I said, I can click links and open all my pages. They open fast and I am not having any problems.

What is xhtml?

Please help...If there is something wrong, I don't know what it is.

As for the invalidation, it means that the xhtml is broken. It might and might not affect display on your browser. However, staying valid using xhtml will keep your site viewable on most browsers. So, it is always good to make good your xhtml is valid

Ok, for a non-developer, ie code writer, how do I fix my xhtml? I used joomla because I thought it would have written the code correctly.

Do you think the "clean up messy code" button on my articles will fix my xhtml problems?

i love the topic (cause I'm part spanish and visited there often) and the site is pretty good except for a few things. =)

The box for latest news is a bit empty, have that made smaller or (less empty!). Similar thing goes for the "Newsflash", just make sure to extend the text so it fills up the whole black space rather than just the top.

Another thing is the menu box needs to be "boxed" in lol, maybe with a slightly different background color so it stands out.

This was a template and I don't know css. I do agree with you however. If the site as it is does ok and I can get local restaurants to put ads and coupons up on it, then I will have to pay someone to make the sight better. But for now since I don't have any money to pay someone, it serves its purpose.

As for the xhtml, the site seems to be working ok and I don't know how to fix the problems therefore I don't want to hurt the site.

i like the design - seems to go well with the subject.

i would add more to the latest news section - i would remove the newsflash 1, 2 and 3 links - perhaps change these to reviews links or something? I would also look to fill that news box.

Thank you...I totally agree but as of right now I am still trying to finish up "menus by cuisine" but when that is done, I will attack that and continue to add the 60 or so menus that are scanned in but not on the site yet.
