Who understands the meaning of LLNNNN.com sales and the meaning behind them?

I often follow domain trends and sales as I find this a great exercise to learn more about the domain market of what's selling or might be a future trend?

Can anyone explain more about these LLNNNN.com sales as they have popped more since the end of 2015.

I would love to have a better understanding of it if anyone can share more light on it?

LLNNNN Recent sales include. PJ, JS, HG, DC, HY, BK, MG, MY, AC & YH

Has anyone sold these type of domains?

What are your thoughts???

I see 2L initials paired with great 4N combos.
probably preferred vs. random 6 character combos, random 6N.com in terms of length.
2L initals are popular and can be used as "generic" easy to remember or "specific" meaning or location
Most of the numbers are business related, double numbers are preferred as well.
pure N's with meaningful initials most valuable to buyer ex :(pj5555)
pj = beer, bear, parts, evaluation
hg = imperial crown, hg is also used at betting site,
mg = USA sadly the chinese translation for US isn't very valuable either even with 8's
js = wine business
hy = can be used for good luck
couldn't find anything on bk or dc
add the number meanings to the initials and we have an entirely new language created by the most resourceful china market ;)
Cheers!

@168, Good suggestions. For BK and DC, there are many possible meanings, such as:
BK: 博客(blog), 宝库(treasure house), 百科 (encyclopedia), 报考 (sit for exam), 报刊 (newspapers and periodicals)
DC: 地产 (real estate-land), 大潮(tidal wave), 打车 (take a taxi), 订餐 (order a meal), 豆豉 (black bean), 调查 (investigate), 电池 (battery)

Is this a new type of domain investing going on in China behind the scenes?

I don't know. I like LLNN .com because it matches Chinese preference for 2-character company names. Baidu, Tencent, etc. Even foreign companies such as Microsoft and Google use 2-character Chinese names.

I wonder how legit these sales were. Perhaps someone is trying to manipulate the market again?

Chips are still on the decline and I don't buy it that Chinese end-users change their domain preference every few weeks.

I agree.

I'm trying to find out why these are selling all of a sudden & makes them valuable?

Is this manipulated from top Chinese domain investors who are sitting a some inventory and want to create a new pump & dump or is this created by Western domain investors?

It caught my interest and I'm trying to understand it a bit more?

Thanks for asking this question @TradeMeDomains.com. I saw those sales and was wondering the same thing, so I definitely appreciate you bringing it up.

I got 8888VR.com, been wondering it's value. Thank you for this thread.

I was also wondering about NNNNLL. I have 2/2/2/2/S/S.com. I noticed the majority of similar repeating NNNNLL have been registered for years, most of which, are owned by the Chinese.

Thanks.

I looked up sales of LLNNN to find more frequent sales of HGNNN.com & JSNNN.com?

I find it interesting and would love to know what type of website these are used for and the reason behind it?

I don't own any LLNNNN and only 2 x LLNNN. However if I get a better understanding of these combined with the numeric definition then I would possibly keep an eye on the drops to hold a few (5-10 domains) in my portfolio?

If this can help others understand what patterns makes it valuable then by all means it a good thing.

If someone can help explain if it has meaning or of value that would be great :)

Lucid my VR buddy ;) Yeah the only LLNNN I own is(VR444 &VR 555) that's about it.

When I see high sales of LLNNNN then I instantly think what makes it so valuable? If someone can also explain NNNNLL that would also be helpful.

8888VR is a nice great pattern to me as easy to remember. IMO

I just have no idea what these mean to an end user or domain investor? What give them high value?

Or just too long? Figured since 888999.com was priced at $5 million bucks let me slap a "CN" I. Front and behind it and let's see. Lol I know it's long but damn if it don't scream out lucky!!!!!! Anyone care to give their 2 cents here it will be welcomed. Thanks!

That is amazing. I had no idea that a two character combination followed by numbers would land these kind of sales. I'm sure a lot of these domains are likely available to purchase in the open market.

Thanks you for this. And since vr is mentioned here
For anyone who missed the nnnvr.com boat. Hint

Xnxs translates to virtual reality in chinese pinyin acronyms.

Let's be honest numeric domains are for Chinese market. VR is a Western created word. China speaks and reads chinese. If you will combine Chinese market numerics with words or letters might as well be pinyin. Yes or no. I welcome all input. Crossing my fingers hoping I'm right. Thanks in advance.

Ok forgot to mention finally looked at the screenshot.

I've researched alot into the Chinese market alot since getting back into domaining. Looking into China's love for gambling. So here's a list of Chinese loved gambling games.

Mahjong - MJ
Match Poker - PKP or PuKe
Horses - don't know the Chinese abbreviations .anyone?
Lottery
Bacarrat - BaiJiaLe- BJL the favorite game of rich chinese.
And last but not least

PaiGow Poker which is the reincarnation of the oldest gambling game in China which is Paijiu which is a game like dominos. (PJ) which explains the PJ sold prices (maybe)?. I did not even know they made an online version of Paijiu. Sounds like fun! Reminds me of those old school Chinese King fu movies on Sundays back in the 80's lol. "The Kid with the Golden Arms". Flashback!

Hope this helps clarify stuff.
