Pinterest any good for SEO?

I have been seeing some Pinterest posts and boards ranking on the first page for some search terms. Has anyone here tried to use Pinterest for SEO rankings?

I've used Pinterest just to drive users to my websites. It works out pretty good. Furthermore, you have to see who you're going up against and see if you have a standing chance to get noticed. But, try it. The only thing it will cost you is time.

Marketing on Pinterest is based on images, if you have business related to these fields

accessories
jewelery
sports products
art
painting
interior

you will get good response and if your business is related to services then it is a bit difficult to get fast response.

You can use Pinterest for grabbing the top ranking at Google.

Use the board name as the anchor text. e.g: www pinterest com / your username / board name

You need to do link building for it.

Pinterest promotion will not help in ranking boost but if you have a verified pinterest account it will give you dofollow link instead of nofollow backlink in unverified A/C. You can drive loads of traffic and get sales for female products.
