Photoshop- BIG PROBLEM- Please HELP

Ok so whenever i satrt working in photoshop, after a short time windows shuts down, and a blue scree with some text saing something like windows was shutted down to prevent further damage, and something like if you see this for the first time please restart you computer... if this is not the first time please disable any new installed software or hardware, and at the bottom there`s a thng wityh "dumping phisical memory to disk". I had photoshop before, but NOTHING like this has ever happened. Please help!
My photoshop version is 7.0.

you're running out of memory.

Try to use hard disk partitions as cache disk. Photoshop lets you to do it for 4 partitions. And also it allows you to decide how much memory photoshop can take from resource.

If you have installed photoshop in C drive check how much free space left , if its full use tool like ccleaner and do a disk cleanup.

You probably don't have anough RAM
