Hi Folks,

I'm curious to hear appraisals for :

http://Photographs.org

Reg'd in 1998.
Light traffic.

It's at a live Sedo auction right now.
Auction ends this Wednesday Sept 17 at 2 pm EST.
Current high bid is $ 560. 4 bidders.

http://www.sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&auction_id=40419&tracked=&partnerid=

Ideally, would be good to hear 2 appraisals per person.
As in a domain investor price appraisal and an end user price appraisal. Of course, one is fine, too.

Thanks!

Josh

No question .orgs are picking up in value. This is a great one indeed. I imagine reseller pricing on this domain name would be in the high low xx,xxx range. I could see this selling via auction or forum for $8-14k. I think Photographers.org would have been a better keyword for the extension. Great name.

Thanks for taking the time to appraise Photographs.org, Justin.

Interesting point you made about Photographers.org.

I think one could build a compelling site and business with either.

My view is that both names are excellent. I would say that one's business model and build strategy would determine which one is better in that particular instance.

If you are doing a high end Flickr style site, or something where you are hoping to have millions of viewers looking at and sharing photographs, buying and selling photographs, or building a stock photographs agency, etc, then Photographs.org is stronger. If your business model is based on creating a directory for photographers, then one might choose Photographers.org. Though, even in that case, and i'm likely biased cause i've been connected to the word Photographs.org for 10 years, if i was building out a directory about Photographers, i might still go with Photographs.org, because for the most part, a photographer's credibility and reputation is ultimately related to how compelling their photographs are.

I also think Photographs.org would be a great name for an individual photographer or group of photographers. Commercial or art photographers. Some higher end commercial photographers charge between $10,000 and $25,000 a day to hire them.

I'd put this in the low-mid $xx,xxx range.

Excellent keyword with tons of usage potential - stock photos, news journalism, etc.

Good Luck
