Pets vs Tech: Do Brandable Domains Get Traction Faster in Certain Niches?

I’ve been running a few small tests lately on brandable domains across different niches, mainly to understand early traction rather than revenue.
One pattern that keeps showing up (at least in my limited testing) is how differently niches behave during the first 60–90 days.

What I’m seeing so far
Pet-related brandables seem to index faster
Long-tail queries appear earlier than expected
Even basic informational content attracts some organic users
On the other hand, tech-related brandables feel noticeably slower:
Longer indexing periods
Fewer early impressions
Much heavier competition, even for long-tails
This isn’t meant as a conclusion — more of an observation.

My working theory
Pet niches are:

Content-heavy and intent-diverse
Less sensitive to exact-match naming
More forgiving for newer domains
Whereas tech niches seem to:
Reward authority more than branding early on
Punish new domains without links or history

Why I’m posting
I’m curious whether others here have seen similar differences when testing brandable domains across niches.
Have you noticed certain niches where brandables “wake up” faster?
Are there tech sub-niches that behave differently?
Any niches where brandables consistently underperform early?
Interested in real experiences, not theory.

In terms of brandables, financial service domains often look better with a nice catchy name and a matching logo that has nothing to do with money. Money is a pretty blan topic to build a brand about. Brandables certainly have their niches where they do well.

I can't help with pet domain names. I haven't tried to specialise there. Good luck with finding people who can contribute to discussion on that.
