I like mini.pet but it's registered, hope you're the one that got it. I lost 2 names I had in auction tonight. I had to run out and do some work and I couldn't get their Website to work properly on my cell phone.

I was able to login and place the bid but it kept going to a white page, wouldn't let me agree to the terms and finish the bid. That stinks GD, what's wrong with the mobile site and auction bids? :P

Oh well I still was able to get nyc.pet without loosing and it's regular reg fee. NewYorkCity.pet is $1,500.00 per year so I feel pretty good even though I lost a couple tonight.

thank u, i got mini.pet . u can try to reset dns of ur device into 8.8.8.8(google dns server) and try it again, or try to use some free vpn .

It depends on the registrar. Some accept multiple pre-registrations and if it's more than one person, they put it up for auction for those who pre-registered the domain. Others accept only 1 pre-registration per domain and if they manage to secure it, it goes to that person (uniteddomains.com, for example).

ummm how the heck does one know if the damn extension company doesn't just cherry pick the pre-registrations and register it themselves and just stick a whois on it? does this preregistration system have a way to keep "Everyone" honest? I preregistered 50 domains .bet and got only 20. the ones that I think were the best were "taken" does that mean someone else preregistered it before me? but how can that ever be found out for sure? you know? seems kinda wonky to me.

It either means that a different registrar secured the domain for their pre-registration clients, or it was bought in the EAP period and never reached the pre-registration phase.

They are allowed to "reserve" domains meaning that they will only come on the market when they see fit. These are high premium domains with a fitting price tag attached. You can contact them directly and work out a private deal.

Others actually do register domains in their own new extension.
