Pending Deletion Auction

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at a few domains from namejet/snapnames which are in a Pending Deletion Auction state. They end tomorrow and there are no bidders. If I bid and win, would I retain the original registration/creation date or would it be reset to tomorrows date?

Thanks!

Reset to tomorrows I believe!

Darn, was hoping to retain the aged status. If I check the whois info for the domain today, it still shows the old creation date!

That's cos the old registration hasn't lapsed yet.

Thanks, I was hoping something can be done to retain the date, I messaged namejet and snapnames earlier in the day and they just got back saying the same thing. I found a few domains which I really like which were registered in the 90s and they're pending delete tomorrow :(

I found a couple of other interesting names which are at the pre-release stage but there's 20-30 bidders all over them...same story.

Will check it out, I've acquired godaddy closeout domains but anything in an auction state is also overfilled with dozens of bidders making the prices skyrocket.

I'm curious, for these domains which I'm finding in pending delete status, how could I have found them before it got to the pending delete state? Would they have been listed a couple months back as a pre-release auction on namejet/snapnames, or were they missed? Any way to verify? Here's an example of one - newyorkjunk.com.
