I signed up for Namejet and Snapnames to try to grab a pending deletion 3 letter .cc domain name. It turns out the domain got grabbed by some random budget registrar. Are these companies worth dealing with or have they become lazy and reliant on their overpriced auctions? Is there a better company to use?

This was probably an affiliate company of SnapNames. Who was the registrant?

The winning registrar was Domainsite. Original registrar was WildWestDomains.

The name was probably backordered at Domainsite.com and that supersedes their agreement with snapnames.

I find it hard to imagine Domainsite as a single regsitrar could have beaten Snapnames and Namejet with all the registrars at their disposal.

Does this agreement you mention mean that Snapnames won't go after anything that has been backordered at Domainsite? That just sounds a little odd...

The domain was listed on Namejet's website as a pending delete - do they also have the same agreement? Perhaps name.com's nabber is better?

The domain is now sitting as an unremoveable backorder on my Namejet account - seems like it confused their system.
