Pending Delete

I'm watching a domain name, which is now in PENDING DELETE status. When will it gets deleted from the registry?

It is normally 5 days from when it went Pending Delete. So on the 5th day.

according to various old posts , domains usually drop around 14:00 EST


you can monitor the current status of a domain (.coms , .nets) at the Verisign Whois


I think it updates when you send a query ... under the expiration date it says ">>> Last update of whois database: Day, DD MMM YYYY HH:MM:SS UTC <<<" ... with the time of your query as the time/date ... try it with a domain to check it (then try the same domain after a couple of minutes to see the new time/date) ... I suppose if the status changes it would reflect it there immediately since the updates are so current

I always thought it was 5 days Pending Delete and then it got deleted on the 6th day?

I thought it was on the 6th day as well as Pending Delete is for 5 days.

My bad.... I think it's the 6th day as well. For some reason I was thinking there were only lists for 5 days not 6. I always just watch the Pending Delete lists
