Pending delete restorable?

Hi Members,

When does a domain name which was scheduled for renewal on 26 May 2007
come out of the Pending delete restorable period.

And when does it become available to register, if not backordered.

I think it varys from registrar to registrar. If I remember right Godaddy's is like 40-45 days.

Pending Delete Restorable is the name some registrars use instead of Redemption Period of .orgs and .infos ...

the usual cycle of a domain after expiration is ...

Expiration >>> 30(-45) days Registrar-Hold >>> 30(-45) days Redemption Period >>> 5 days Pending delete >>> Available

(usually registrars require a redemption fee after the first 14 days of expiration ... number of days and fee depends on registrar ... also the Registrar-Hold period can fluctuate fron 1-45 days -30 days average- depending on the registrar)





a good idea might be to put the domain on the free monitoring feature from domaintools (free registration required) ... they email you when the status changes to Pending Delete and then you can monitor it more closely (for the next 4-6 days) to see when it drops ... .coms and .nets usually drop around 14:00 EST ... you can monitor the current status of a domain (.coms , .nets and others) at the Verisign Whois
