Just received PayPal notification of their new Term's of Service going into effect on March 29, 2017 and noticed that payments sent using friends and family button will no longer be covered by "Buyer Purchase Protection". That means buyers should not pay for domain sales using the "Send Money to Friends and Family" button as you will have no protection should your seller not deliver the domains. Seller's should no longer ask buyers to submit funds using the "Send Money to Friends and Family" button, and not expect them to do so, and instead should request PayPal payments using the "Pay for Goods and Services" button to insure a safe and uneventful transaction.

Post the full header from the email and lets see who sent it.

You know nothing about this subject but you persist. I have used PP since 2004 and PP FF has never been covered by buyer protection.

That email is clearly not from Paypal and you have not posted the full header. Which would tell us who really sent it.

If you cant recognise a phishing email and dont have the technical savvy to post email headers; I do think you are claiming a bit much with your byline. " Ecommerce branding specialist". Google "full email headers gmail" and you will soon see who sent it.

Another forum troll hiding behind no information, no transactions, no listings, empty links, nothing but useless vitriol! Why would you want to unmask yourself as a forum troll, after 11 years here! You claim to be a domain investor and broker for 11 years "Promo", but your postings speak to someone who most likely can't be trusted to complete an honest transaction! So NP beware!

I looked at the header, it's from PayPal, and corroborated by other posters here, that they received the same one. Is it so hard to believe that PayPal may send emails to different customers at different times, updating their terms of service. Maybe they updated mine, because I used that function (F&F) for the first time ever, 2 times last week, because I was asked to by the seller. Had I known I was forfeiting any buyer protection by doing so, I would have sent using the Services button. Is that so hard for you to understand that I was trying to save one buyer from a bad transaction? I've been on PayPal for 18 years, buying and selling through many different sales channels. Should I send you my account information so you can verify that too? Again, my NP account is new but I've been here before as a guest, people like you are making it clear why I hadn't before. But trust me I'm no fragile piece of china, and I certainly don't have such a poor self image that I need to belittle people trying to be helpful, so that I may feel better about myself!

Umm, sending using payments to family and friends has never had buyer protection? And it has always been against their TOS to use payments to family and friends for business transactions. So I'm not sure I understand your point?
It's legit email. But @TheDot.shop even before this update, payments using family and friends are not eligible for purchase protection, it's in paypal tos with different wording and sections
