I recently sold a domain name on here, but the funds it was paid for are not in my account. It says that it was an echeck, which I've never even heard of. All past sales I've made have put the money instantly into my account. This transaction says that it's uncleared and expected to be in my account March 21. What exactly is this? I kind of needed the money soon, which is why I sold the domain name.

basically the buyer is paying with funds from his/her bank account, so your funds will clear once paypal clears it with the bank.

echecks sometimes never comes through.

I have scripts and software selling sites. And some fools pay via eCheck in hope to get a free download and then cancel the transaction later. Well they get nothing :D As I manually send the products the next day when I receive the payment notification. It is bit of hassle but have saved me many times.

just accept paypal cash not echecks, anyone can bounce a check you're just like accepting a post dated check, i only accepted echeck from clixgalore which I know have the reputation of paying and I'm not in a hurry.
