Anyone that knows me and bonzer (my buddy) know that we don't take lightly to getting scammed, from shonky hosts to shady Phillipino Web design Companys we have taken them all on - and won.
But PayPal???
Man these peeps are out of control, get this:
PayPal refunded a guy for $115 which we disputed, and lost.
A few days later they refund the $115 again! so we are all over them saying what the hell is going on.
We get an email after bonzer launches them in a class email, we get a reply on the 7th Sept saying yes we were right and sorry the $115 will be refunded within 48 hours.
Of course the 48 hours come up and nothing yet.
So bonzer is back on the phone (national call rate, nearly 1 hour) telling them to get it sorted.
They are telling him that there has not been an error, even though bonzer can see the duplicate payment in his PP logs and we have the email admission from them. Still they are swearing blind that we will be getting nothing back.
Are Paypal too big?
Should there be more control over them?
It seems to me that because they are the only large widely acceptable internet merchant that they are a law unto themselves.
To say we are p*ssed off would be an understatement.
But we'll get it sorted, you can bet on that one. We'll be launching them again later today, the problem is them damn national calls are around 15c a minute and they are not exactly fast at answering the phone. Again, no surprise there.
Any update the bigger side of the pond on Google Wallet? It's not available in the UK but I heard it was launching in the United States of America.
