Good morning,

I still have not found any compelling evidence to go one direction or the other. My object is to sell my domains as quickly as possible and for the most amount of money - out there I know. So is it better to park them at the likes of Parkingcrew or Sedo? Basically I don't think I understand the differnce. Like if I park it at either can I still promote them to bring traffic? Etc. Thanks

So if your object doesn't include receiving any money from parking, I'd choose Sedo over ParkingCrew because Parking Crew don't have a sales operation, they are only a parking company, whereas Sedo are firstly a Domain Sales Organization (the biggest actually) which also does parking (poorly imho). Anyhow you can also park with Parking Crew and list for sale on Sedo and Afternic and GoDaddy.

I know you didn't ask this but if you want parking revenue I'd choose Voodoo (the current leader, imho) or Bodis, over ParkingCrew.

I personally park with Voodoo, Bodis, Domain Sponsor, Parking Crew (optimized by Above.com) and list my domains for sale at Sedo, Afternic, GoDaddy. My best sales performer has been GoDaddy.

I think it does not matter where you list your domains for sale, in fact you can list them in multiple places.
But nobody will be looking for them, just some domains among millions others.
Exposure is not the problem, when you have good names, the end users come to you. But it's difficult to sell stuff nobody wants or needs.

As for parking, it's the same. It doesn't matter where you choose to park if the domains have no traffic.
What's the difference between $1 and $2 earnings at the end of the month ?

I think there is a big difference between Sedo and GoDaddy with regards to their sales performances. OK it's only my small sample, but GoDaddy beats Sedo hands down for selling domains, imho. Of course these are $XXXX domains, not super premium.

It's also the same with parking. There is a big difference between Voodoo and Parking Crew revenues. We aren't talking about a few dollars here. Again, in my small sample it's maybe high $XXX/month difference. No small pittance, imho.

It is said that, parking on sedo will push your domain flipping quicker than parking on others~~~

I am not very sure, how about you?

Parking on Sedo means poor revenues for most because they only pay for the first click, unlike most companies which pay for every click. It's been my experience that the PPC is usually quite low also. Although some people think Sedo Parking pays great, but imho, it sucks, big time.

Of course a visitor to your domain parked at Sedo will have a (seemless) link to your domains sale listing. But most parking companies have a For Sale link also where an interested party can make an offer. Most parking companies think that this For Sale link hurts the number of clicks your domain gets. This is probably true for Sedo also.

So. Although I don't really know for sure. I think parking at Sedo may have a very limited improvement on successfully selling a domain, but that limited improvement is probably no better than is offered by most other parking companies. You do get the benefit of a lower commission rate though :)

Sedo suitable for the sale of domain names rather than parking

Hi Guys,

our apologies, we have just been notified about this thread:

As has been pointed out correctly, it is very easy to park your domains with ParkingCrew and use our for sale banners to link to the sedo sales page.

You can find some of our for sale banners on this page:

https://www.parkingcrew.com/our-templates.php

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have.

Cheers

I have to disagree. I've tested many domains via various providers. Sedo PRO by far is the best for the majority of my names. I test my low performers with Sedo on other platforms, 90% of my names do better with Sedo.
