Ok, im looking through my portfolio to see how to bring the most exposure to my domains other then the standard (Sedo, Afternic, etc). Here is what I am doing so far and let me know what you do and what has worked.

Im going back and forth between my portfolio and here is what im doing for my domains....

1. Parked. What I do is test traffic for a tiny bit. When I get a new domain from hand reg or aftermarket I park it at Whypark to check traffic for about a week or 2. If I see the traffic is jumping or even has a few clicks then I move to the next step below. Also even if the name is not driving any traffic, based on the keyword I still go to #2 in about a week or so....

2. 1 Page Lander. Once I see a domain may have some potential I build out a 1 page site using Xsite pro. I list info about the domain based on the keyword. Give examples on why and how they can use the domain name. Have a form on the page to submit offers or BIN. So far I have got a few offers this way and even a sale that just completed for $1000. I have about 25-30 domains done this way.

3. MiniSite. I really dont have any BIG mini sites but have been using DevHub to build out 10 domains so far this week. Its really still parking but then you can make the site not look so "parkish" so to me its more of a mini site. Since its just been a bit less then a week I cant see any serious traffic or money but its looks much nicer then Whypark.

So what im trying to see is what works best for you and take into affect the domains are semi generic. Generic + keyword / brandables/ No category $XXX,XXX names that are obvious. My main goal is to sell rather then keep for months with the income it drives (unless it was $50 min a month)

What are your best ways to get your domain in the hands of end users and get eyeballs on it.

Thanx

Your #2 idea is good, but I would put some content related to domain as well, sprinkle in some adsense or another way to monetize, and then lower down have a paragraph geared to the sale.

This method has worked for me, I am get the adsense to at least cover the reg, while I wait on offers.

When you do your one page site, how do you handle the hosting for it?

Vegas---They mostly all do have Adsense and amazon affiliate products....so can monetize as well. not sure if permited so if not just remove but you can check out one of the one page landers here gpsradars DOT com

Markb50---I use host gator and have unlimited domains to host under the baby package.

#2 is the way to go...

I have many on page one

you gain more experience about seo
each time you set up a page

I like the minisite approach. It gives a chance to age the domain and position it in the SERP's before approaching endusers. I use hostgator and XSitePro V2.
This one I am attempting to time the spring RE market with an enduser approach.

Might try some Amazon affiliate programs while I wait.

have you made some change with all the ads? I think this weekend instead of doing just a single page im actually going to build out using teh Xsite Pro a 4-5 page or more mini mini ecommerce site with one of my product related domains. We should have rain this weekend so makes for a real good excuse to stay in and get down to biz!

I agree with #2 sounding best.

As far as hosting these domains/sites how would you go about it aside from buying 100's of $1.99 hosting plans? create subdomains from your "domain sales" site?

ie.

_ _ _ _ _ . NattyDomain.com ?

For most domains, parking isn't even an option. But assuming you have domains that get traffic as is, of course you should park as many of them as you can.

1-page landers are great for an uncompetitive keyword.com, but it won't do it against keywords with even modest competition.

I like mini-sites but with a lot of articles that people will find useful.

I'm going to try to use #2 or perhaps #3 with a new domain name (getsexyfree.com). Problem is monetization as I do not believe the domain will qualify for adsense. It has already been rejected for adsense domain parking. Any thoughts?

Im using HostGators baby package for $9.99 a month and has unlimited domains...so no issue there Im gettting good sucess with the 1 page landers both in offers (a few more closed) and listed in search engines. Even though im not really looking for the pennies in adsense and such (hence not to much time put in with content for clicks) im more after just getting the eyeballs of possible buyers of the domain name itself.

Want to know, with 1 pager, does it mean it will be index by Google? Where will the traffic come from?

Yes I have many 1 page sites index on the 1st page and beyond. It does help to get indexed as long as you have related info & content

I have domains parked, fully developed and mini sites. The thing I like about mini sites over standard parking is I think if you are selling a domain to a company it's a bonus when you can show them your mini site on the front page of google as it's hard to do that with a parked domain. So I think it adds a little extra to your sales pitch. That front page listing can also bring end users to you without doing any work looking for them.

Thank you Natty for great tips. I am gonna work on this.. How are you selling the domains through DevHub?

I like your site GpsRadars . I am not an expert on seo or development as I am still learning.. Is Xsite Pro hard to use or learn to create a mini 1 page site?

Well with DevHub im using them really just for parking. Got 1 offer vrom all my sites on dev hub. They do good traffic wise and with 13 sites total with them im at $2.63 for the month.

The rest of my 1 page landers (like GPS radars) is used with XsitePro. I love the software and if im looking to do something super simple I can turn out a site in 10 min flat LOL. Offers and sold domains are coming thrgh the 1 page landers made with x site pro. AND if I really wanted to it has all the tools to make mini sites very easy
