I'm wondering if parked domain actually gets indexed and grow traffic over time, or most of the traffic came from old search links or out-of-business companies.

Good question. I have always wonder myself. Especially for domains that get over 1000 uniques with no real content. I have websites that offer good content but do not receive anywhere near that kind of traffic.

For starters it seems to help to submit your site to google. I takes about a week or so but it helps a tiny bit for type in traffic. I have also found posting on these boards, the web site is indexed or shows up. Parking pages that are more content based also help (Badgerfrom NP has a great site for this 1plus.net) It will definitely help with indexing!

How can you index them on google if you do not have hosting for the domain?

I submit the site (ppc landing page and all) to google. The 1plus.net is free, I would take a look. this is one of mine

Hope this helps!

It is hard to get traffic if youre website wasn't developed before or if you don't have any links targetterd to your URL.

I have around 10 links for my blogs and from websites with an average 30 uniques a day and some of them are going also to my parking domains.

most parking does not permit you to post links on forums.

I have noticed that as one discusses their names on a forum such as NamePros (without links) it will inadvertantly be indexed by Google.

no need to worry about posting on forums, as a newly registered domain on 1plus.net will be indexed and listed within a few days.... ;)

If your keywords are strong you may not get out of googles sandbox for 6 months or so, but then theres nothing we can do about that... Or indeed anyone can do about that... ;)
