I sent them an email and they said they were still processing the previous international numbers for other partners. Didn't make any sense to me, but you never know. At the end of the day, it's only Sunday's numbers. :)

Hello Donny,

is the parked-system auto-updating the related-search-keywords on parked pages?

If so whats the way it goes?

Its different from country to country so I think you are using ips to find the country from where a visitor is coming from. Maybe the browsersetting too...

Then maybe using the keywords that are typed into the search-field by the users? Taking these keywords, let them show on the mainpage and see how the clickthrough and clickprice will be with it? (But I think normally the shown keywords are static. So if this will be used than it will be rare used)

Is that the way it goes or another?

Greetings!

Sebastian,
Our system uses basically a technology that we created in house a few years ago and have continued to improve on it. In each country we start with a base set of keywords for your domain, then as people search, click, and technically don't search and click, we add or remove keywords on the domain based on this information. It's purely based on the country not on the anything to do with the browser.

Has the boat containing the international numbers come into the Port Of Tampa yet?

I think they are on a train from China right now. Yahoo wakes up around 9am PST, so I would expect an ETA then.

Thanks for explaining donny.

If the system is looking for the click- and searchbehaviour for the menu-keywords so what about the clickbehaviour and the resulting clickprice on the ad-pages? Is the system taking that in account? (Dont know if yahoo is giving you the clickprice in a form that the system can see what keywords results in which rpm.)

If the system could get the info of the rpm a clicked menukeyword is getting and the ctr of the menukeyword itself it would be the optimum system it seems for me.

Is that the way it goes or dont you have the possibility to say "that menukeyword is having an average 50Dollar RPM" or similar?

Mostly the parked pages have some good keywords when going to a parked page with a us-ip. But for some countries Im not pleased. The starting-keywords arent good. Maybe because there arent enough data to set one.

So you have the system and this would mean you have access to the database with the stats of the above mentioned menu-keyword-system. Do you and the account manager have the ability to bring into these lists new keywords? So if I say to my account manager: "The US-Keywords are fine but I see the DE-Keywords are unrelated." Can my account manager access the database, go to the menu-keyword-stat-table and put in some keywords for that country I provide him with? Maybe even let him set a big successrate for that keywords so that they are showing more often? Is there this possibility?

SPOILER?

If you and your account manager doesnt have this possibility can I bring keywords into the system for myself? Maybe about this way?
* Go to the parked page through a proxy with a ip from the country I would like to see the parked page keywords. For example through a proxy located in this country
* If the keywords arent matching I simply go to the searchfield and type 10 times one keyword into the searchfield that I want to have in the menu. (Maybe I have to use 10 different ips?)

Is that possible to bring a keyword into the menu this way?

By the way... in which cycle are the menu-keywords updated?

Greetings!
Sebastian

Does the boat with the stats cargo come into Tampa Port...or into the Cayman Islands .....with the rest of the cruise ships??...:)

That could be the delay right there...all that traffic on the high seas!...:)

Tony, Donny said the stats are arriving via train, not by boat!

Here is the Yahoo train carrying the international stats -- captured via cellphone video by an Indian --

(this how they clean the trains, as well)

Donny:

I am editing keywords on one of my sites by dragging unwanted keyword to the "removed kewords" box. However, after saving changes the kewords show up again in the "related words" box while also remaining in the "removed keywords" box. I have never seen this before. Is this a known problem?

TIA,

Alan
