Parked down? Can't access my domains or the backend. Have tried several proxies just in case my connection, but same result.

Dear Parked,

I have sent a really simple e-mail regarding a very simple question. I have yet to receive a reply from you guys. I was asking the same question with another parking service and their customer support responded in no time flat. Though I may received an answer - it's just the fact that I got in a professional and prompt time with them. I'm not even a signed customer with them. Your service sounds great for a newbie such as myself but no reply is something of a drawback, just slightly. I want to park domains with you guys but who will answer questions when I need them? ...

Thank you,
Cho

Just post here Cho, and your questions shall be answered! :)

Hey SDX...

Cool.

So how long is the time frame for Parked to review an application so that the domainer can get going? Bi-monthly payments sounds promising.

Not sure about everyone else, but, I was approved within few hours.
Good Luck :)

I think it really depends on the type of domains you have. It seems like the people who have clear use domains get approved more often than not.

All domains with a clear use might not get massive traffic, but every hit is targeted traffic in general. That type of traffic is easier to monetize and I would assume is more appealing to Parked.com

Keyword domains basically. Normally product or service related. Where you can figure out what the domain will offer and why the traffic is coming.

It is easier to monetize a domain like GraniteTiles.com, CureAcne.com, Mortgage.net, etc. than traffic coming to random short domains with no clear use.

Parked approved my account .. :music:

For a total noob - I quite like their interface and it's so easy to navigate. Now, let's hope my domains make that $$.

Thanks --

Donny:

It appears that many of my 404's are coming from just two of my domains I have parked. I am guessing this because these two domains keep appearing in my statistics with zero visitors and zero clicks. It only seems to happen with these two domains. Is there any way to tell if this is so, and why these domains keep getting the 404's? Is this something that my account manager can help me with? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I had many 404s and contacted my account manager. He said that they were working on a way to show 404s on the domain level and told me which one was responsible for most.

Interestingly, I transferred that domain to Sedo parking and the uniques went up with no more 404 problems. In general, Sedo parking has outperformed my Parked.com domains for acronyms and short words.
