The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I've seen that elsewhere (the financial and legal) but this particular domain has to do with asthma.

Well, the economy is wheezing by some accounts, so I guess that explains it.

Must be having heavy bot traffic again, I've got an un-optimized domain in my account with 3 visits and 54 clicks. Same domain as had all the clicks on Saturday. Wish they'd go away.

Send those bots to Madeira Island via the Bermuda Triangle and you can bet you will never see them again!

Donny,
My .mobi sites are just a search box. Is this normal?
Example: (onlinepoll dot mobi)

Same here: All I see is an empty page with a search box for all .mobi domains.

Something is wrong I think.

No more bots here, thank goodness. But last week I knew that 350% CTR was too good to be true. Got to see $105 for the day rolled back to about $30!

Well, now my TQ score dropped down to 6 from a 10 earlier this morning.

Is it supposed to be this volatile? I thought it changed like once a week or something. Hope I'm not getting penalized for the bots.

I got yours I think.

Didn't know what mine was until just now.

Hope it stays there, it looks great on my dashboard.

My TQ has done exactly the same... 10 to 6. Happened around 10.00 PST.
On another note, I wrote my AM yesterday on the fact that as my TQ goes up ( doubled in fact from a month ago), my RPC is dropping. The opposite of what you'd expect.

I don´t think you can take these wild fluctuations on the TQ scores very seriously at the moment. Mine has changed from a 10 (which I felt was incorrect) to a no score at the moment (which is definately incorrect)

I think there must be bugs that are still being sorted out by Parked.

Google are just a minor investor in dotMobi.

I'm sure it would be fine if not all .mobi domains at parked look like the Google home page.
B-)

Finalized stats are out and to maintain the same trend I was down 30%. I wonder why there´s such a disparity in these numbers.

It's the disparity between Parked and another company that puzzles me. Same traffic sources, same domain name (different tld ext), same keyword etc. Yet Parked is all over the place on a daily basis, with an overall decline, while the other place only moves a cent or 2 either way on a monthly basis.

Unfortunately, since the beginning of this pay period, Ive started to see a pretty steady decline in RPC.... although this happens occasionally... its been pretty low as of late.

Things seem weak all-around.

It appears to me that traffic should be higher than it is for Jan. and Parked is paying out less than I would expect (but that is this TQ thing it appears).

Did you guys notice that this TQ thing has been "updated" each time when we should be seeing an upsurge making the most money? Meaning, end of summer rolling into fall they update the TQ around Oct. 10th. Then again right at the beginning of the year when things should be smoking hot.

I'm thinking they are giving big, big paybacks to advertisers to get them to shift budgets away from Google - but at our expense. >:(

Also, I think we are beginning to see a true softening of the economy. I have enough great, generic domains to be reasonably certain the traffic is slowing down.

Seabass I think you are dead right on this one. Certain keywords should be seeing a dramatic drop in views and clicks when compared to last year (even three/six months ago).

Also certain keywords have likely seen some big drops in the number of advertisers bidding on the traffic. Therefore less PPC.

With the news from the markets yesterday I think it might even get worse for some keywords.

Affiliate ads in custom content

I finally got some CJ ads put into the custom content on one of my domains. Though I was pretty excited about it at first, my Parked CTR dropped immediately from 110% average down to about 80%, and the affiliate ads have received only about 7% CTR with no sales, even though they are very specific to the domain. In summary, inserting the affiliate ads is having a counter-desired effect.

Anyone else have the same problem - or, net-overall positive results?

When you set up the banner did you select it to open up in a seperate window?
